Parking and Safety

Pick-up and Drop Off of Children

Traffic congestion in front of the school presents a serious concern for the safety of our students.  

Parents who drive their children are asked to drop them off in marked areas on 56 Avenue or along Riverbend Road.  There is an area in front of our school that is designated for school bus parking during school hours.  

Please think safety before convenience.

For safety reasons, the parking lot adjacent to the school is for the use of SCHOOL STAFF ONLY.  Please do not pick up or drop off students in the staff parking lot.  There is NO visitor parking in the staff parking lot. 

As well, the parking lot across the street is for the patrons of the businesses in that shopping complex.  We ask that parents/families refrain from using their parking lot for dropping off or picking up your child from school or cutting through their parking lot.

Please remember that all students and families should be using the crosswalks to cross the streets in front or on the side of the school.  These crosswalks are there to help protect people when crossing.  Safety is very important to us at Brander Gardens School, and we want to make sure that people arrive safely at school, whether it is by foot, school bus or vehicle.  Please look at  The City of Edmonton Pedestrian Right of Way for more information.
