Volunteering

Parents are valued partners who play an integral role in their child’s learning.
We encourage parents to be involved in their child’s education, and we welcome volunteers at the school.
Please speak to your child’s teacher or watch for opportunities on SchoolZone.
Ways that parents and/or guardians can get involved include:
- assist with the book fair
- assisting your child’s learning through helping them with their homework, home reading and home writing
- attending Edmonton Public Schools Board Meetings
- following school updates through our website, parent information board and SchoolZone
- helping with hot lunches
- Helping with individual students or a small groups of students
- participating in student led learning conferences
- sharing a special interest or talent with the classroom or school
- supporting community partnership events hosted at our school
- volunteering at the school; in classrooms or on field trips
We look forward to collaborating with you in support of student learning and public education.
You can be involved in ways such as helping in the library, reading with a student, assisting in the classroom, going on field trips, helping with hot lunches or sharing a special interest or talent.
When working with students, we will ask you to complete a Volunteer Registration form to ensure student safety.
