Registration 2026 - 2027

Students who are new to the Division register for school.  Whether you're registering for this school year or next year, learn how to register online using the steps and the digital student registration form.  New student registration begins (including students entering Kindergarten) February 2, 2026.

Consider a French Immersion program

Edmonton Public Schools offers French Immersion starting in Kindergarten and Grade 1, opening the door to a world of possibilities! Explore our French Immersion program and be sure to register by 4 p.m. on March 25.

If you are registering for Kindergarten or are new to Edmonton Public Schools, you must register online.  Children who are five years old on or before December 31, 2026 (born between January 1, 2021 - December 31, 2021) may register for Kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year.

For the 2026 - 2027 school year, École Brander Gardens Schooll is full in planned classes for Grades 2, 3, 5 and 6 in the regular program and Grade 5 in the French Immersion program. We will no longer accept enrolment requests for Grade 5 in the French Immersion program. For the regular program, we will now only accept resident students for Grades 2, 3, 5 and 6 whose parent(s)/legal guardian(s) have newly moved into the school’s attendance area. A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic. Non-resident students can enrol in another Division school with space in planned classes.

Registration 2025 - 2026

For the 2025 - 2026 school year, École Brander Gardens School is full in planned classes in the regular program AND Grades 3 to 6 in the French immersion program. We will no longer accept enrolment requests for Grades 3 to 6 in the French immersion program. For the regular program, a Kindergarten student who is a resident and lives in the school's attendance area may still register. We will also only accept resident students in Grades 1 to 6 whose parent(s)/legal guardian(s) have newly moved into the school’s attendance area. A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic. Non-resident students can enrol in another Division school with space in planned classes.

Steps to Register for Students New to Edmonton Public Schools

STEP 1 - Complete the digital student registration form  (Scroll down to Step 3 on the webpage)

STEP 2 - Provide legal proof of the student's name, citizenship and birthdate (see below for examples)

STEP 3 - Provide 2 different pieces of address verification (complete document) for the student's parent/guardian (see below for examples)

STEP 4 - A member from our administrative team will get in touch with you via email to confirm your registration

  *Examples of Legal Proof of a Student's Name

  • Canadian provincial birth certificate
  • Canadian citizenship document
  • Canadian passport
  • Confirmation of a permanent residence document

  *Confirmation of Address (please provide the following - complete document)

  • Utility bill
  • property tax bill
  • Banking, financial or insurance documents
